The FFA is a national organization that primary purpose is to develop agricultural leadership, citizenship, and cooperation. The Frederick FFA Chapter is the second oldest chapter in the state of Maryland chartered in 1929. Our chapter members continue the traditions of competing in local, state and national Career Develpment Events (CDE's).

Frederick FFA food science team has placed nationally at the annnual National FFA Convention held in Indianapolis, Indiana. The team consisting of current cadets Ryan Bollinger and Karina Bouchard place bronze individually while Xavier Lovejoy and alumni/current state officer  Giulianna Kukor placed silver individually.
