Academic Team: FHS finishes second to Bears in close match

Frederick High School’s Academic Team played exceptional Friday evening in its virtual match against Oakdale and Middletown but would come up one point shy to finish the night in second place to the winner eventual winners from OHS. The Cadets Academic Team kicked off the 2021 season Friday evening by scoring 17 points in route to a pair of week one wins over Middletown and Thomas Johnson. Cadets earn 2nd seed at next weeks County Academic Team Championship

Frederick High School‘s Academic Team has earned the 2nd seed in next weeks County Championship March following wins over both Catoctin and Linganore Friday Night. Frederick scored 21 points to Linganore’s 13, and Catoctin’s 5. Special shout out to senior Sydney Robinson for her all around strong play.

The Cadet Academic team splits with Brunswick and Walkersville

Frederick split Friday night’s Academic Team results to come in 2nd place for the evening. The Cadets defeated Brunswick 14-13, but falling to Walkersville 14-16, in a close back and forth match. Fridays special category was 90’s music and FHS did well in the category. Frederick will face Catoctin and Linganore next week.

FHS advances to “It’s Academic” Semifinals on final buzzer question

The Frederick High School Academic Team will advance to April’s semifinal round after defeating Urbana and Severna Park on the shows taping Saturday afternoon. The Cadets won on the broadcasts last question with a quick buzzer response to end the show and advance. The Academic Team who this past Friday also claimed the FCPS number
