Roaders edge Cadets in week 2 Academic Tournament Quad Match

The Frederick High School Academic Team finished their Week 2 quad-match against Brunswick, Catoctin, and Middletown with 15 points. A score good enough to earn the Cadets a second place finish to Brunswick Friday evening. The Cadets Academic Team kicked off the 2021 season Friday evening by scoring 17 points in route to a pair of week one wins over Middletown and Thomas Johnson. Cadets earn 2nd seed at next weeks County Academic Team Championship

Frederick High School‘s Academic Team has earned the 2nd seed in next weeks County Championship March following wins over both Catoctin and Linganore Friday Night. Frederick scored 21 points to Linganore’s 13, and Catoctin’s 5. Special shout out to senior Sydney Robinson for her all around strong play.

The Cadet Academic team splits with Brunswick and Walkersville

Frederick split Friday night’s Academic Team results to come in 2nd place for the evening. The Cadets defeated Brunswick 14-13, but falling to Walkersville 14-16, in a close back and forth match. Fridays special category was 90’s music and FHS did well in the category. Frederick will face Catoctin and Linganore next week.

FHS advances to “It’s Academic” Semifinals on final buzzer question

The Frederick High School Academic Team will advance to April’s semifinal round after defeating Urbana and Severna Park on the shows taping Saturday afternoon. Cadet Academic Team claims #1 ranking, defeats Linganore and Oakdale

The Frederick High School Academic Team defeated both Linganore and Oakdale Friday night at FHS. The Cadets who are now ranked #1 in the FCPS standings, received performance from Captain Zach Dorris and Aidan Carney. The Cadet Academic team defeats Catoctin, takes down #1 ranked Walkersville

Frederick High School Academic Team defeated Catoctin and previously top ranked Walkersville Friday night 17-5-15. Team was lead by captain Jamie Roan and a special shoutout to the Shakespeare Squad. Next Friday night Frederick will take on Linganore and Oakdale. The special category is four major sports halls of fame.

Frederick’s Academic Team defeats Urbana and Oakdale, 19-11-11

Frederick High School’s Academic Team scored 19 points during Friday nights competition to take down both Urbana and Oakdale who each scored 11. Friday’s special subject was WWII. The Cadets received strong performance by Aidan Carney, Zach Dorris, Jamie Roan, and Chris Pondoc.

FHS Academic Team finishes 2nd

Frederick High Schools Academic Team finished 2nd Friday evening in their match against Linganore and Middletown held at the FHS auditorium. The Cadets defeated the Knights but fell to Linganore during the second week of county competition. Captains, Zach Dorris and Jamie Roan gave a strong performances on the night, as did Chris Pondoc.
