North Hagerstown guard Lally Richards hit an off the backboard 3-pointer as time expired to give North Hagerstown a 58-55 win over Frederick at the Sabre Center Wednesday evening.
The Cadets who were celebrating their teams 110th basketball anniversary fought hard in the second half to erase a 9 point North lead at the half. Frederick would eventual tie the game at 55 with 1:21 to go in the 4th but couldn’t convert on their two final possessions giving North the ball back with 27.1 to go in the contest. The Hubs would isolate Richards who took the game winner with 4.3 seconds on the clock from the top left portion of the court.
Jahmik Hill scored a game high 21 points for the Cadets while Nathan Osei added 15. Jayden Arrington scored 9 points with Adrian Adlam scoring 3 and Lucas Tinney and Jaheim Mosley scoring 2 a piece to round out the scoring for FHS.
The Cadets will face FSK tonight (1/2) at the Sabre Center, varsity tip off is set for 7pm.
