A celebration of life and fundraiser to honor Frederick High School’s long time front desk secretary and game manager Beth Baker is scheduled for this Friday November 9th, from 3:30 to 5:30 pm, in Frederick High School’s Cadet Cafe. Organizers hope this will give friends a time to share their memories of Beth. A memory book and lite refreshments will be available.
Beth worked at Frederick High for more than 20 years and devoted many hours to the FHS Boosters Club and was a fixture at every Cadet home athletic contest. She passed away after a long battle with cancer on October 18th, 2018.
Fond memories of Beth’s cheerful personality and love for everything and everyone at FHS flooded alumni and community members social media post as word of her passing spread through her Cadet family. Current Cadet assistant football coach and alumni wide receiver Chad Steiner wrote, “I will always and forever see you opening those gates saying”, “come on Steiner, lets get this one”. Beth Jones, a long time co worker of Baker’s at FHS and a close friend posting “You will continue to live on in the many lives you touched and the friends you made”.
The FHS Boosters club would like to honor Beth by beginning a fundraiser to build a new outdoor ticket booth in her memory, which they hope to have ready by the fall of 2019. Those wishing to help may send donations to:
